Our Story
Since 2013, The Mystic Museum has been a hub for horror enthusiasts in the greater Los Angeles area. We began our journey as an oddities shop and museum of the occult, paranormal, mystical, and all things genre-related.
Our flagship location in Burbank is divided into three sections, each with their own personality: CAMP HORROR TM, an homage to 80s slasher and horror movies; MYSTIC MUSEUM ODDITIES, an oddities, curiosities, and antiques shop; and THE MYSTIC MUSEUM, a store for all things goth fashion, dark home decor, and mystical literature.
Here at The Mystic Museum, we work to keep horror alive and thriving through our rotating themed art shows, unique interactive exhibits, custom photo ops, meticulously designed retail spaces, and our events. These events and spaces allow our community the opportunity to immerse themselves in the world that brings us all so much delight.
This summer, we bring our community Horror High Reunion, an immersive horror experience that showcases the best of horror that took place on campus. As we are celebrating our Mystic Museum's 10 year reunion this year, we found it fitting to give a nod to cult classics that slashed through the halls. Horror High Reunion features props, commissioned and collectible art pieces, photo opportunities, and even memorabilia. Guests can expect a horrific slice of high school nostalgia that they will never forget!
Our business has evolved considerably since our inception, and we have our community and fans to thank for that. Your continued support is truly what keeps us going!

We fully support the inclusion and celebration of every individual. We have always– and will continue to– align ourselves with causes and movements that support LGBTQ+, BIPOC, and special needs communities. A portion of the proceeds generated from our charity lines go directly to a roster of local organizations consistently working towards making equal rights for all a reality. Additionally, we try our best to source all of our taxidermy ethically, in alignment with our value of animal rights.
We strive to bring happiness to those who love horror, film, the occult, and curiosities; and we hope that in sharing our passions with our community, we inspire others to do the same.
